Laid with traps and snares of the night
Christ my hope my only glory

Jesus by His saving mercy
Holds my hand and drives off death
Guard me Save me Hold me Fill me
With Your spirit life divine
Take me by the paths You've chosen
Always Your way never mine
Keep me in Your precious power
While this earth around me falls
Hold me in Your mighty grasp
As I forever heed Your call
